- 1816 – Andrew Jackson wrote to Pensacola's Spanish governor Mauricio de Zuñiga regarding the Negro Fort on the Apalachicola River.
- 1957 – The Rotary Club of Pensacola Suburban West charter was presented to club president Harold Rose.
- 2001 – H. K. Matthews led a protest of about 250 against the Pensacola Police Department over the shooting death of Andrena Kitt and thirteen other law enforcement fatalities.
