Future generations will continue to carry the love of surfing and be inspired by the memory of Yancy Spencer III by the statue of him that was unveiled on February 16, 2013 on Pensacola Beach.
As an aside, I(Phil) wanted to edit by mentioning that in 1988 I brought Yancy one of his Seeker models circa 1969'.Yancy seemed pretty stoked to see his old classic still in rideable condition. I was super stoked to be able to donate it to him and his shop for other wave riders and ocesn lovers to appreciate. I hope Jr. still has it.
