- 1931 – Cartoonist Eddie Collins creates the "Jay Gosling" mascot of Naval Air Station Pensacola.
- 1963 - Elbow Room Pub opens for business.
- 1983 – Roger Vinson is confirmed by the Senate to the U.S. District Court bench.
- 1987 - Rock band Dr Hook performs at Maggie's In Cahoots, in Summerdale, Alabama.
- 2001 – Soccer complex corruption scandal: Escambia County Commissioner Willie Junior proposes, as an add-on agenda item, to negotiate a purchase price for the Pensacola Soccer Complex.
- 2007 – Jerry's Cajun Café reopens after being damaged by a fire. The Pensacola News Journal reveals that Escambia County School Board member Jeff Bergosh was the pnj.com user "Godzilla" responsible for several controversial comments related to the school district.
