- 2003 – The murdered body of Dean Perry, Jr. is discovered at Bay Bluffs Park.
- 2007 – The documentary Lillie & Leander: A Legacy of Violence opens the 2007 Pensacola Film Festival.
- 2017 - Let's Hang On!, a Frankie Valli and Four Seasons tribute band performs at the interstate fair.
- 2018 - NOLA-based alternative rock musicians Cowboy Mouth performed at the Vinyl Music Hall.
- 2020 - The Confederate monument, located at Lee Square on Palafox Street between Jackson and Gadsden Streets, was removed.
