- 1861 – Confederate troops under Major General Braxton Bragg organize as the Army of Pensacola.
- 1977 - Rock musicians Ted Nugent, Nazareth, and T Rex performed at the Mobile Municipal Auditorium.
- 1978 – Fred Hubacker ends his tenure as Escambia County Administrator.
- 1999 – The conviction of Escambia County School Board member Vanette Webb for violating Florida public records laws is overturned.
- 2003 – The Escambia County Health Care Task Force releases a list of recommendations to help uninsured citizens, leading to the creation of AccessEscambia.
