The Nunez Ferry operated from an unknown location in Escambia County. Present day Mobile Highway was formerly known as Nunez Ferry Road as well as Old Spanish Trail Road.
Source: Numerous land deeds reference all three roads on parcels fronting Mobile Highway from the Saufley Field Road area north to Rebel Road and possibly beyond in both directions. See historic tax maps at the Escambia County recording office.
