Frascati was the name of an historical park located roughly from 11th Avenue east to Bayou Texar and from the L&N Railroad tracks south to Pensacola Bay. According to folklore, the park known as the Duelling Oaks, being a place where gentlemen would hold duels. Later it was used as a picnic ground for chowder parties and political rallies.
The Pensacola Woman's Club purchased part of the land for their headquarters in 1932.
In 1954 a historical marker was erected on East Gregory Street, near the 17th Avenue railroad trestle.
