- 1975 – ABC Southeastern Theatres donates the dilapidated Saenger Theatre to the City of Pensacola.
- 1998 – Escambia County School Board member Vanette Webb is indicted for allegedly withholding documents from parent Susan Watson, in violation of Florida's open record laws.
- 2017 - President Donald Trump spoke to a capacity crowd at the Pensacola Bay Center. During the speech, he endorsed former Judge Roy Moore for Alabama Senator.
