- 1814 – War of 1812: British Major Edward Nicholls issues a proclamation from Spanish Pensacola urging Louisiana natives to assist him "in liberating [their land] from a faithless, imbecile government."
- 1905 – Yellow fever is declared at Pensacola.
- 1976 - Elvis Presley performed two concerts, at 4:30 and 8:30 pm, at the Mobile Municipal Auditorium.
- 1985 – John Burt receives five months' probation for trespassing into the office of abortion provider Bo Bagenholm.
- 2001 – The Historic Pensacola Preservation Board is renamed West Florida Historic Preservation, Inc.
