- 1821 – Andrew Jackson orders a search of the home of Domingo Sousa for official papers not turned over by Spanish governor Jose Callava during the transfer of Florida.
- 2005 – Temple Beth-El Cemetery is vandalized.
- 2007 – Escambia County Commissioner Grover Robinson IV and County Attorney Janet Lander halt the $1.41 million purchase of a 217-acre property off Bauer Road, which the Board had previously approved 4-0 to build a county ballpark.
