- 1908 – Streetcar operators' strike: The Pensacola Electric Company resumes limited streetcar service on two lines, with cars operated by strikebreakers and protected by state militia troops.
- 1987 - Heavy metal rock band Megadeth performed live at the Pensacola Municipal Auditorium.
- 1988 - Alternative rock/pop band Echo and The Bunnymen performed at the Pensacola Municipal Auditorium.
- 2003 – Susan Story becomes president and CEO of the Gulf Power Company.
- 2011 - Country music bands Sugarland and Little Big Town perform at the Pensacola Civic Center.
