- 1813 – War of 1812: Spanish Captain Cayetano Pérez surrenders Fort Carlota (Mobile) to American General James Wilkinson.
- 1904 – List of fatal accidents: A turret aboard the USS Missouri ignites a powder charge during target practice in Pensacola Bay, killing five officers and twenty-seven enlisted men.
- 1985 - Rock and blues musician Eric Clapton performs at the civic center. Opening act was Graham Parker.
- 1991 - Rock band ZZ Top performs at the civic center.
- 2007 – The CMPA Board selects Caldwell Associates to author the final design criteria for the Community Maritime Park project.
