John Jerrison
Captain John Jerrison was a mayor of Pensacola, from 1825 to 1829.

Early lifeEdit
In his youth, Jerrison served as a sergeant in the United States Army. After his service concluded, he settled near Fort Benjamin Hawkins in Georgia and worked there as a merchant and contractor. During the War of 1812, Jerrison was a staff officer with the rank of captain. After the war, he settled in Alabama.
In PensacolaEdit
Eventually setting in Pensacola, Jerrison was elected numerous times to Pensacola's Board of Alderman, and served four years as Mayor. At the time of his death, Jerrison was serving as the clerk of the Pensacola Navy Yard.
