- 1985 - Pop musicians Little River Band performs at the civic center.
- 1986 - Rock musicians Heart and Honeymoon Suite perform at the civic center.
- 2001 – H. K. Matthews leads a protest of about 250 against the Pensacola Police Department over the shooting death of Andrena Kitt and thirteen other law enforcement fatalities.
