Correction needed. In 1885 Governor E.A. Perry dissolved Pensacola's post reconstruction government and created the "Provisional MUNICIPALITY of Pensacola." There never was a "PRINCIPALITY" of Pensacola. This error is likely due to a transcription error on the Escambia county Rootsweb page for the 1885 Webb's City Directory.
