April 6 newspaper story
We probably need to create a category for this. Something fairly broad -- I don't know if we've had enough strikes to justify a [[:Category:Worker strikes|Worker strikes]] category. (Though I'll need to look through [http://www.angelfire.com/fl5/pensacolahistory/ this] again to be sure.) What about [[:Category:Events|Events]] > [[:Category:Demonstrations & unrest|Demonstrations & unrest]]? Then it could be grouped with the [[Escambia High School riots]]. Joe, I've just transcribed a story about the first day of the strike (April 6, 1908). Thought you'd get a kick out of it. My favourite line is "There was a good deal of anger displayed at this juncture, and more than one pair of brass knuckles was surreptitiously handled."
