In his younger days, he was a world competition skateboarder and the subject of over one-hundred articles in various surf and skateboard magazines, also in various newspapers, including one in the Pensacola News-Journal on August 5, 1987.
Mike Danger had also been employed at Plee-zing Grocery, Sal's T-shirt Factory, Franco's Lounge, Franco's All-Nite Affair, Domino's Pizza, and Subway Sandwiches. He also owned the Rockasaurus record label, and had several books and CDs published.
On July 4, 1984 he performed with local new wave band The X-Statics at Franco's All-Nite Affair, a bottle club located on 9th Avenue at Douglas Avenue.
