Marty Donovan was elected to represent District 4 of the Pensacola City Council in May, 2001.
Marty, a Realtor/Broker with Donovan Realty Inc., is a graduate of [[Sacred Heart School]], [[Pensacola Catholic High School]] and Auburn University. A Pensacola resident since 1956, he is Co-Chairman of the [[Bayou Texar Foundation]] and a director of the [[Escambia Bay Marine Institute]], a school program for troubled teens. Involved with Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Marty was the 1996 Big Brother of the Year.
Marty has also served on the City of Pensacola Citizens’ Committee for Bayou Texar/Carpenters Creek Storm Water Assessment, the Escambia County Citizens’ Task Force on Urban Storm Water Runoff, the City’s Code Enforcement Board and the [[Escambia County Zoning Board of Adjustment]].
Married 30 years to Helene, they have a son, Ryan, and a daughter and son-in-law, Anna and Rick Johnson.
