Born on {{date needed}} to [[Abe Levin|Abe]] and [[Rose Levin]], Allen was the youngest of six brothers, including attorneys [[David Levin|David]] and [[Fred Levin]].
A graduate of [[Pensacola High School]] and the University of Florida, Allen worked as a a schoolteacher and businessman for many years. Later in life he became one of the most successful condo developers on the Gulf Coast. He was responsible for [[Tristan TowerTowers]], the [[Verandas]], [[Emerald Isle]] and the [[Portofino Island Resort]].
Levin had two sons, both of whom joined him as business partners. He adopted his wife's son, [[Evan Levin|Evan]], and in [[1998]] was contacted by his biological son, [[Andrew Rothfelder]], who had been put up for adoption some 30 years prior and was a developer in Atlanta.
