[[WASPO]] (an acronym for "'''We Are Seriously Pissed Off'''") is an anti-immigration group founded in [[2006]] by conservative [[WCOA]] talk show host [[Luke McCoy]]. According to McCoy, the group arose from frustrations over the estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in the United States who "seem to be destroying what I have always known as America."<ref>[http://www.pensacolanewsjournal.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060602/NEWS01/606020327/1036 'WASPO' is buzzword for local opponents of illegal immigration] - [[Pensacola News Journal]], June 4, 2006</ref> The group has been widely derided as a hate group, and the name's similarity to acronym WASP ([[Wikipedia:White Anglo-Saxon Protestant|White Anglo-Saxon Protestant]]) has drawn accusations of a thinly-veiled white supremacist agenda. The group originally had a website, [http://www.waspo.uswww.waspo.us], but [[as of March 2007]], the site is defunct. From its inception, McCoy intended the organization to expand nationwide, with individual chapters called "nests,"<ref>[http://www.cafepress.com/waspo CafePress.com page]</ref> but its the current membership is unknown.
