Dasinger served as Pipe Major until [[2001]], when [[Sam Varney]] took over the role. Jack remained general manager of the band until his death on [[July 16]], [[2003]], when his ultralight plane crashed at the [[Coastal Airport]] in [[Beulah]]. Varney is the band's current general manager.
The Pipe Band has released two recordings of their music, ''Live From McGuire's'' and ''The Pipes of Christmas'', which are available in the restaurants' gift shops. The group performs in traditional Scottish dress attire wearing the MacDonald Lord of the Isles tartan. The Band can be booked for special occasions as an ensemble, as a smaller group or just a solo piper. The Band is dedicated to growing musical elements of Celtic musical culture.
