==Political career==
He began his political career in 1989 when he was elected to the [[Pensacola City Council|City Council]], representing [[City of Pensacola District 3|District 3]]. Reelected in 1991, he resigned his district seat and was appointed to the Council's at-large "B" seat. Upon the resignation of Mayor [[Jerry Maygarden]] in [[1994]], Fogg was appointed Mayor by City Council, and was reappointed in 1995, 1997 and 1999. In 2001, after the mayor was switched to an at-large elected position, voters city wide elected Fogg, making him the City of Pensacola’s first elected Mayor to serve since 1913.
Fogg retired at the end of the 2007-2009 Council term.
