Ford served on the [[Gulf Breeze City Council]] from [[1990]]-[[2007]] and as the Mayor pro tem of [[Gulf Breeze]] from [[2001]]-[[2007]].He served as a member of the Arkansas House of Representatives in 1975-76.He was elected as a member of the Arkansas Constitutional Convention in 1976.
