This is mentioned in the March 18, 1906 issue of the ''Pensacola Journal'', but it's a Sunday morning paper and says Burnham was "shot and killed near the [[union depot]] last night at 9:15 o'clock." ::Indeed. I was disappointed at first because the March 19 issue, which I figured would have had the story about Burnham, isn't online. Still haven't found if they ever caught the suspect. (Apparently, when they couldn't find him, they rounded up five other people who might have assisted him.
