Looking at a low-res image of Thiesen's gravestone ([http://www.uwf.edu/gis/smc/images/476.jpg]), his middle name is either Ustrup or Usirup. Personally, the third letter looks more like an "I" to me, but according to the Google, "Ustrup" is Danish.
