Until recentlyFor much of its history, End of the line was completely volunteer-run. The volunteers would meet weekly to coordinate schedules, purchases, and other business needs. However, in [[2007]], the café was recently "de-collectivized" and its owners are now paying employees and asserting more control over day-to-day operations.
