'''Mike Danger''' was the stage name of '''John Michael Apperson''', best known for being a wrestler, singer, standup comic, daredevil, wearing a Mohawk-style haircut, loud attire and incorporating a chainsaw into his stage antics -much of which he accomplished after losing his eyesight in his late twenties due to diabetes and an automobile accident.  In his younger days, he was a world competition skateboarder and the subject of over one-hundred articles in various surf & and skateboard magazines and , also in various newspapers, including one in the Pensacola News-Journal on August 5, 1987. ''' Mike Danger''' had also been employed at Plee-zing Grocery, Sal's T-shirt Factory, Franco's Lounge, Franco's All-Nite Affair, and SubwaySandwiches. He also owned the Rockasaurus record label, and had several books and CDs published. ''' Mike Danger''' was 49 years old when he died in August, 2006, from complications of diabetes.
