In [[1980]], Baldwin began serving as Pensacola Chairman of the Florida Moral Majority. He later became State Chairman, in which he served until [[1984]].
Baldwin is a member of the [[Wikipedia:Constitution Party (United States)|Constitution Party]]. On [[May 2]], [[2004]], he was asked by Constitution Party presidential candidate [[Wikipedia:Michael Peroutka|Michael Peroutka]] to serve as his running mate in the [[2004 election]]. Baldwin's political views reflect a conservative Christian ideology and are frequently opposed to both Democratic and Republican platforms.
