- 1999 - Rock musicians ZZ Top and Lynyrd Skynyrd performed at the civic center.
- 2004 – Franklin "Kim" Kimbrough begins work as executive director of the Downtown Improvement Board. Thelma Manley takes $3,393 in Front Porch Pensacola funds to pay back taxes from 2001 on a piece of personal property.
