- 1880 – The line and other assets of the Pensacola Railroad Company are sold to the Louisville & Nashville Railroad.

- 1985 - Rock musician Robin Trower performs at the Saenger Theatre.
- 2003 – Judge Casey Rodgers is confirmed to the federal bench by the U.S. Senate.
