The Krewe of Junkanoo is a Pensacola Beach co-ed krewe that participates in the Mardi Gras Krewe of Wrecks Parade and other events. Inspired by the Junkanoo festival in the Bahamas, it was founded in 1996 by April Hargrove and Joy Domm.
The krewe has around 20 members and supports organizations like the Waterfront Rescue Mission, Toys for Tots and the Good Samaritan Clinic. They hold an annual Oktoberfest and Cajun Boil, where they select a Mardi Gras king and queen, as well as the annual Kritter Krawl to support the Humane Society of Pensacola.
