The Phillip Dane Beall Sr. Memorial Bridge, also known as the Pensacola Bay Bridge or colloquially as the Three-Mile Bridge, spans a three-mile section of Pensacola Bay and is the main artery from Pensacola to Gulf Breeze and Pensacola Beach.
The bridge opened on August 10, 1962, replacing the 30-year-old Thomas A. Johnson Bridge (which became a fishing pier). It was named in honor of Florida Senator Phillip Dane Beall, Sr..
