- 1825 – A three-person board consisting of James Biddle, Lewis Warrington, and William Bainbridge recommend the construction of a Navy Yard at Pensacola.
- 1984- Punk rock icons The Ramones spent two days at the Holiday Inn Bayside in Gulf Breeze, for a November 5 performance at Destin's Nightown.
- 2005 – Pensacola City Councilman Marty Donovan calls for a referendum on the proposed Community Maritime Park.
