- 1698 – Presidio Santa María de Galve: An expedition under Juan Jordán de Reina sails from Havana, Cuba, to secure Pensacola Bay.
- 1814 – Capture of Pensacola: Andrew Jackson arrives at Pensacola with a contingent of American troops and attempts to communicate with the Spanish governor, Mateo Gonzáles Manrique, but is fired upon.
- 2001 – Festival Park: Detailed plans released for 73,000-square-foot auditorium, outdoor theater and 3,000-seat exhibit hall.
