The Saenger Amusement Company was a Louisiana-based theater franchise that built picture houses across the South. Founded in 1912 by brothers Abe and Julian Saenger, E. V. Richards and L. M. Ash, Saenger Amusements experienced tremendous growth throughout the 1920s. It was purchased in 1935 by Paramount-Richards Theatres.
