Claudia S. Brown-Curry is a former Escambia County School Board representative for District 3, and a two-time Democratic candidate for Escambia County Superintendent of Schools.

Education
Brown-Curry holds a B.S. in Sociology, History, and Political Science and an M.S. in Counseling and Human Development from Troy State University, as well as an Ed.S. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of West Florida.
Personal life
Brown-Curry is married, with one daughter, and one granddaughter. Additionally, she and her husband Willie are licensed foster parents. She is active with a number of community organizations including WSRE-TV, Hope Center for Teens, Century Community Development Association, Escambia County Healthy Start Coalition, League of Women Voters, and the National Council of Negro Women. Brown-Curry and her husband are active members of Pentecostal Temple Church of God in Christ.
