Lumon James May is a community leader, co-owner of May's Construction, and 2008 Democratic candidate for Florida State House District 3.

A graduate of Woodham High School, May received his associate of arts degree from Pensacola Junior College and his bachelor of arts and master of science degrees from the University of West Florida.
