David Williams is the principal and former assistant principal of Pensacola High School. He also is a former teacher and "Teacher of the Year" of the school.

Williams as Teacher

Williams as Assistant Principal

Williams was appointed Assistant Principal of Grounds and Maintenance after Assistant Principal Lorin Lovely retired in 2004. As assistant principal, Williams saw many events, including the destruction of Pensacola High's gym and auditorium by Hurricane Ivan the year he was appointed. It was hotly debated as to who would be appointed principal after Principal Sara Lewis retired at the end of the school year in 2008, but it was decided that summer that it would be Williams. He was replaced as assistant principal by Thomas Rollins, a former math instructor from West Florida High School.

Williams as Principal

Williams has yet to start his official duties as principal, as the most recent function, the awarding of Escambia County "Math Teacher of the Year", was done by Principal Lewis. In fact the only outside word of his succession besides teacher knowledge is on the International Baccalaureate Organization's website.
