'''"Pensacola Blue"''' is the title of a song written and performed by local balladeer Geoffrey Hall, who has performed authored several original tunes that romance the fairly easygoing lifestyles that northwest Florida is known for. It was first performed in public by Hall at the Carousel Lounge in August 1990, and two videos were made that same year. A recording was played over the airwaves daily for two weeks in August 1995, on local radio station WTKX-FM. The subject of the song is the lament of lost love, yet and vaguely mentions refers to the Blue Angels, and yet starts off by describing the laid-back gulf coast lifestylewhich includes the white beaches, sailing, romantic scenery and more. As of 2011, "Pensacola Blue" was still being performed by Hall at his solo gigs.
