Santa Rosa Island Authority

The Santa Rosa Island Authority (SRIA) is a six-member body that governs the unincorporated community of Pensacola Beach on Santa Rosa Island.

HistoryEdit

The SRIA was created by an act of the Florida legislature in 1947 under Chapter 24500.

Board membersEdit

Five of the SRIA members are appointed by the five Escambia County Commissioners, and the sixth is elected by the registered voters of Pensacola Beach.

AdministrationEdit


FundingEdit

The SRIA is funded by rental fees collected from the island's leaseholders and other sources like the Bob Sikes Bridge. It does not receive property taxes from Escambia County.
