John Ma
Yueh Chun "John" Ma (1974-2008) was a chef and entrepreneur who helped launch the Horizen restaurant and later started his own establishment, Baba Cafe, shortly before he committed suicide.

Ma was born on November 29, 1974 in Taiwan. He immigrated to Pensacola in 1991[1] and attended Florida State University, graduating in 1999 with a bachelor's degree in marketing.
In 2002 Ma partnered with Hunan owners William and Linda Yang to open the Asian-fusion restaurant Horizen.
In 2007 Ma left Horizen to start his own business, Baba Cafe, in the former Breaktime Espresso location at 34 South Palafox Street.
On the morning of April 10, 2008, after opening the restaurant, Ma locked himself in a closet in the back of the store and used a gun to commit suicide.[2]
