I have found several references to a "DeLuna Street" in 1906 issues of the Pensacola Journal, most often as small ads encouraging businesses to locate there, but now noticeably as a banner headline on the August 8, 1906 Journal, proclaiming that the offices of the Journal had relocated to Intendencia and DeLuna Streets. I am curious to locate where the street was. Where I am thinking is what is now a City alley, called DeLuna alley, that runs from Intendencia south for about 100 feet behind Ragtyme Grill, parallel to Jefferson. Keeping in mind that Jefferson did not extend that far north in 1906, that may be it. If so, though, strange that a little alley is all that remains of it. — dscosson • talk 00:11, 28 February 2009 (UTC)
:Noticed those "it's the new Palafox!" ads in the Journal issues and wondered myself. I found this reference to the street, talking about the corner of "intendencia Street and Reache's Way, now Deluna Street." That seems to confirm it's another name for Cushman's Alley, around what is now Jefferson. — admin • talk 04:07, 28 February 2009 (UTC)
