Pensacola Bridge Corporation
The Pensacola Bridge Corporation was a company which constructed the bridge over Pensacola Bay (later dubbed the Thomas A. Johnson Bridge) and another over Santa Rosa Sound, as well as the Casino on Pensacola Beach. The costs of the three projects were $2 million, $250,000 and $150,000 respectively. All three projects opened on the morning of June 13, 1931.
Allan G. Siems was president and R. G. Patterson was vice-president. When the Pensacola Bay Bridge opened, Patterson's 11-year-old daughter, Patricia Ruth Patterson, cut the ceremonial silver cord.
Birch O. Mahaffey was another official of the corporation who spoke at the opening ceremony of the Casino.
