- 1774 – Revolutionary War: The Continental Congress writes to the Assembly in British Pensacola, but is suppressed by Governor Peter Chester.
- 1820 – The Adams-Onís Treaty transferring title of Florida to the United States is signed by the King of Spain.
- 1981 - Rock band Electric Light Orchestra performed at the Mobile Municipal Auditorium. Opening act was Hall & Oates.
- 1992 – The Wall South memorial is dedicated.
- 2008 – Groundbreaking takes place for The Wharf's 20,000-square-foot conference center.
