- 1866 – Congress passes legislation giving authority to any organized company to construct telegraph lines, later conflicting with exclusive charters granted by Florida to the Pensacola Telegraph Company.
- 1907 – Calvin C. Goodman assumes the mayoralty of Pensacola after the death of incumbent Charles Henry Bliss.
- 1973 – U.S. District Court Judge Winston Arnow rules that Escambia High School's "Rebel" mascot, the school song "Dixie" and the Confederate flag are "racially irritating" symbols and bars their use.
- 1974 – The Clara Barkley Dorr House is added to the National Register of Historic Places.
- 1977 - Rock musicians Peter Frampton and 38 Special performed at the Mobile Municipal Auditorium.
- 1982 - Rock band Van Halen performs at the the Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi.
- 2005 – Demolition of Bayfront Auditorium is completed.
- 2006 – The Pensacola Young Professionals holds its first political forum at Pensacola Junior College.
- 2007 – Front Porch Pensacola is reactivated by the Florida Office of Urban Opportunity.
- 2018 - A two-year-old black bear is captured after climbing a tree in a wooded area next to McDonald's restaurant near Pace Boulevard and Fairfield Drive.
