- 2005 – Frank Patti is released from prison after serving half of a 79-month sentence for tax fraud.
- 2008 – Does v. School Board for Santa Rosa County, Florida: The Santa Rosa County School Board, along with Superintendent Tim Wyrosdick and Pace High School principal Frank Lay, sign an "Admission of Liability" regarding district-wide constitutional violations. The merger of Synovus companies Bank of Pensacola and Vanguard Bank and Trust into Coastal Band and Trust is completed.
