- March 26 – The Pensacola Ice Pilots announce that Escambia County has agreed to release them from the final year of their lease in the Pensacola Civic Center, and and that they would not return for the 2007-08 season
- April 12 – The Pensacola Ice Pilots and Escambia County reach an agreement to keep the team in Pensacola through at least the 2007-08 season
- May 19-20 – First annual Hawkshaw Music Fest is held in downtown Pensacola

- April 17 – Krispy Kreme reopens in a new, modernised building at 9th Avenue and Cervantes Street. The previous building had been razed in November 2006.
