Albert A. Dixon was one of Pensacola's first black physicians. He is the namesake of Dixon School of Arts & Sciences, formerly known as A. A. Dixon Elementary School.

On April 28, 1937, Dixon collapsed at his home and was rushed to Pensacola Hospital, where he died shortly thereafter.[1] The cause of death was listed as cerebral hemorrhage and arteriosclerosis.[2]
