"Pensacola Blue" is the title of a song written and performed by local balladeer Geoffrey Hall, who has authored several original tunes that romance the fairly easygoing lifestyles that northwest Florida is known for. It was first performed in public by Hall at the Carousel Lounge in 1990, and two videos were made that same year. A recording was played over the airwaves daily for two weeks in August 1995, on local radio station WTKX-FM. The subject of the song is the lament of lost love, and vaguely refers to the Blue Angels, yet starts off by describing the laid-back gulf coast lifestyle which includes the white beaches, sailing, romantic scenery and more. As of 2012, "Pensacola Blue" was still being performed by Hall at his solo gigs.
