George W. Turton was a Pensacola photographer who operated from at least 1885 until the 1920s, according to city directories. His studio and gallery was located in the Clubbs Building at 226½ South Palafox Street (above the Merchants Bank) until that building was demolished in 1908, after which Turton relocated to 116½ South Palafox. By 1921 he had moved again to 28½ South Palafox.
